SCHOOL SEAL

The school seal is enclosed by a circle within which two open hands are embedded in an upward position. Between these two hands are an open Bible and a dove hovering above it.

Inspired by the Bible's Gospel values and fired by love and peace (signed by a dove), AGS, a Christian educational institution is open to those who seek entry to the school to benefit from the quality education it offers. AGS performs its role in the community in a milieu of praise and thanksgiving and harmonious relationship fostered by the collaborative efforts and cooperative attitude of all its stakeholders (open hands).

Altogether, the seal capsulizes the essence of Amazing Grace School: the inspiration from the teachings in the Bible and the kindled peace and love in a values - laden educational institution.

PHILOSOPHY

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge of the Holy One leads to understanding." - Proverbs 9:10

We believe that all truth originate from God. He is infinitely wiser than all educators that have ever lived and He desires to communicate with His children through each learning experience.

Thus, we take it upon ourselves to provide a venue where children learn Christian values while preparing them for productive and worthy membership to society and service to God through others.

VISION

Amazing Grace School is a God-fearing, spirit-filled community, of academically and morally equipped students and competently effective personnel serving God and nation.

MISSION

Equip AGS students with quality education that will help them become persons of integrity pleasing God and man.

SCHOOL CULTURE

School culture refers to the beliefs, preceptions, relationships, attitudes, and written and unwritten rules that shape and influence every aspect of how a school functions.

1. Time
Amazing Grace School values time. As Ecclesiastes 3:1 says "There is time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens..."Thus, the school sees to it that all classes will stawrt on time, and end on time, including activities which involve students, teachers, parents and visitors.

2. Honesty
Honesty is marked as being free from deceit or untruthfulness. It also means being sincere. It is our great hope that AGS students will become persons with integrity pleasing to God and others. Hence, the school does not tolerate dishonesty and cheating in any form.

3. Discipline
Discipline is a loving and corrective training that leads to maturity and responsibility on the part of those who experience it. To produce disciplined students, AGS strictly implements school rules and regulation and if needed, disciplinary actions are given to students. Part of the discipline is training the pupils and students to be responisble with their surroundings. Classroom cleaners are assigned to make sure of the tidiness of the room. Students are also trained to return used plates and utensils in a specific are in the canteen after eating.

4. Respect
Students, teachers and parents are expected to greet each other with kind words and their exchanges should be friendly and in an appropriate tone. "Please","Thank you","you're welcome","excuse me","yes Sir","no Ma'am" are few examples of appropriately addressing each other. A lack of respect can be detrimental in education, completely undermining the mission of teaching and learning.

5. Love for God and others
As the bible says in Luke 10:27, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and, Love your neighbor as yourself." AGS upholds love for God and building relationship with Him through teaching the student's to pray and integrating God's Word in the student's daily lessons and occasional seminars as well as through conducting activities like Bible conference, retreat, breaking of the bread, and also morning devotion and ACCESS Ministry fellowships particularly for the junior high school students. The Biblical lessons inculcated to the students serve as their guide and motivation to be Godly individuals with love and care for the people arround them.
